ESTEVAN – The Canadian Wrestling Elite (CWE) drew a crowd of 150 fans to the Estevan Legion on august 18, delivering a high-energy show that required extra seating. The event featured WWE veteran Brian Kendrick, who is currently competing on the independent circuit as part of CWE’s 17-day “Cruel Summer Tour.”
The evening’s matches included “Crazy MoFO” CAM!!ikaze defeating Ronnie Attitude, Mastermind Kevin Cannon winning his debut match against Edward Wild, and Danny “Hot Shot” Duggan defeating “crude Oil” Cody Mac in a grudge match. A tag-team match saw Kendrick and “The Zombie Killer” Mentallo face CWE Canadian champion “Chizzled” Chad Daniels and “Canadian Rottweiler” Kash, ending in a disqualification loss for Daniels and Kash after interference from Duggan and Cannon.
“The Pitbull” Robbie Royce secured a win against “The Headliner” Shaun Martens in a hardcore match utilizing chains, garbage can lids, and steel chairs. The finale was an eight-man tag team match with Duggan, Daniels, Kash and Cannon facing Kendrick, Wild and Mac, aided by an injured Mentallo, resulting in a victory for Kendrick’s team.
Throughout the night, fans remained engaged, and during breaks and before the show, wrestlers interacted with attendees, signing autographs and selling merchandise. the event concluded with a meet-and-greet at the tower Cafรฉ. Kendrick, who wrestled for WWE for 11 years, described the “Cruel Summer Tour” as one of the most demanding of his 26-year career, with the Estevan show marking their fifth night on the road.
