New additions, under the guidance of experienced coach Marcello Di Ghizzinari – who previously worked alongside renowned coaches Luca Banchi and Andrea Capobianco – include Argentinian-Italian playmaker Lucas Maglietti (formerly of Avellino),promising young guards Matteo Nicoli and Fabrizio piccone, and Icelandic wing Kristinn Palsson, fresh off competing in the European Championship. Forward Leonardo del Sole, alongside seasoned veterans Marco di Pizzo and Marco Arrigoni, complete the core of the team.
Coach Di Ghizzinari emphasizes a high-octane style of play. “We are a team that runs a lot and makes intensity and aggressiveness our defining characteristics,” he explains. “We’re aware maintaining that speed consistently is challenging, and ball movement will be key. It will take time and patience, but I’m confident we have importent room for advancement.”
the Academy aims to be among the top three teams at the end of the regular season, fueled by a commitment to relentless effort and a strong connection to the Jesi community. While the local derby is always a highlight, the immediate focus remains on securing a solid foundation in Serie B. The team’s approach promises a thrilling brand of basketball, built on passion, speed, and unwavering intensity on the parquet.
