Sant’Agata De’ Goti Hospital Facesโค Protest Over Limited Rehabilitation Services
Sant’Agata De’ Goti, Italy – โA local โcivic movement is planning aโ demonstration tomorrow,โฃ demanding full โimplementation of regional healthcare decree DCA 41/2019 before accepting a โlimited rollout of rehabilitation services at โthe โขSant’Agata De’ Gotiโค hospital.โ The protest comes afterโข regional manager De Luca announced the โactivation of four rehabilitation beds starting December 1st, alongside plans for a new oncology center โand helicopter rescue platform.
The “Civic Movement for the Sant’Agata de’ Gotiโค hospital” โexpressed disappointment with the phased approach, arguing that four rehabilitation places are insufficient without a fully functioning 24-hour emergency room and essential supporting departments. In a Facebook post, the movement โขstated, “We won’t do anything about four rehabilitation places if we don’t haveโฃ aโ 24-hour emergency roomโข and โkey departmentsโฆ We will have nothing to celebrate, nothing toโข toast as longโข asโค we are deprived of โessential services.Without the bases there can beโ no โheights.”
The group’s concernsโฃ stem from a broader struggle to secure comprehensive healthcare services for the community. DCA 41/2019 โoutlines provisions intended to improve hospital infrastructure and service availability in the region. The โCivic Movement believes a complete โfulfillment of the โฃdecree isโข necessary to ensureโข qualityโข patient โขcare and sustainable healthcare advancement in Sant’agata De’ Goti.โ
As of publication, the hospital has not responded โto requests forโข comment regarding โthe planned protest or โthe Civic Movement’s demands. The Facebook post โannouncing the demonstration has received โ1 view.
