“I am not concerned about the election,” Bolsonaro stated in an interview with CNN Brazil. “If Brazil does not resolve this institutional crisis in the coming months or weeks, then there will be no election in 2026.Why would I worry about popularity? I am not concerned about popularity. It is 100% victory or 100% defeat. If we are victorious,we recover this popularity in one or two days.”
The parliamentarian is currently in the United States, working with the U.S. goverment to sanction members of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), particularly Alexandre de Moraes, President Luiz Inรกcio Lula da Silva, and the country itself. The imposition of 50% tariffs on Brazilian products entering the United States was cited by Bolsonaro as a victory resulting from his engagement with high-ranking U.S.officials.
