El Paso โWoman Accused in Fatal โStabbing of Man in South Side Apartment
ELโ PASO, Texas – A woman has been identified as a suspect in the stabbing โdeathโค ofโ aโฃ man found in his El Paso apartment on Olive Avenue, according โto an affidavit. Investigators allege the woman, identified as Ramirez, was seen on surveillance video fleeing the scene with a knife shortly after the estimatedโ time of the homicide.
Police โwereโฃ called to the apartment on Septemberโ 16, 2025, and discovered Jorge Serna โคwith no signs of life, according to the affidavit. Emergency โคrespondersโฃ from the El Paso Fire Departmentโ Fire Medical Services confirmed Serna’s death at the scene.
Outside โขthe apartment, officers found footprints โฃin suspected blood leading away โคfrom the frontโ door for approximately 10 to 15 feet.
Surveillanceโค footage โfrom a nearby residence reportedly shows aโ woman later identified as โฃRamirez leaving Serna’sโข apartment around 7:20 a.m. carrying a knife. The woman’sโ path of flight aligned with the location of the bloody footprints, the affidavitโ states. A “distinct tattoo” on her left shoulder was also noted.
A manโข who frequently visited Serna’s apartment corroborated theโ identification, stating he often sawโ a woman matching Ramirez’s description,โ including the same tattoo. He specifically recalled the tattoo depicting musical notes.โ He positively identified Ramirez in both the surveillance video and a photograph provided by police.
Investigators further confirmed the suspect’s identity by locating Ramirez’s Facebook page, which featured a photoโ displaying โthe matching tattoo on her left shoulder.
The affidavit does not detail a motive for โขthe allegedโฃ stabbing,โ norโฃ does it include details regarding Ramirez’s arrest or any policeโฃ interviews withโค her.
The El โคPaso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit is continuing theโ investigation.
