easton, PA โข – Residents have anโฃ chance to support localโข families in need this holiday seasonโ through aโ food and toy drive hosted at Easton โฃCity โคHall, โrunning now through December 12. โThe initiative aims to provide crucial assistance to community members facing financial hardship, ensuring access toโ basic necessitiesโค during aโ challengingโ time.
The donation drive comes as many families grapple with rising costs of living and economic โขuncertainty.โค According to organizers,the need for supplemental โฃfood โassistance in the Easton area isโ notable.”People deserve to eat. Peopleโ deserve to eat no matter who you are, what you are, what โฃyou do in your life.โข I โthink that’s a basic necessity, andโค everyone has the rightโ to it,” saidโข Sullivan, a keyโฃ organizer of โthe โคdrive.
Donation boxes โare located in the City Hall lobby and are accessible during โฃregular business hours,โ 8:30 โคa.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.Organizers are specifically requesting canned goods requiring minimal โขreadiness – items likeโค peanut butter, pasta, and rice cereal are especiallyโข helpful, as they frequently enough onlyโค requireโค water for preparation.
