WASHINGTON – โTheโ deployment of the National Guard to โcitiesโ across the United States, including Washington, Los angeles, and Chicago, under the โคdirection of President Trump, is drawing criticism from opposition Democrats, โmilitary historians, and security experts. William Enyart, โaโข retired Major General of the illinois National Guard and former Democratic Congressman, warnedโ against the misuse of the Guard, telling The Washingtonโข Post: “Byโฃ misusing the national guard for a role for which it isโฃ indeed neither trained nor equipped, we only do damage.”
