A smartphone mount is particularly useful for owners of the base “Essential” model, which does not feature a central multimedia display. While potentially less necessary for other trims that include such screens,the mount is a sturdy accessory that securely holds a mobile device during travel.
The offer of practical compact SUVs with all-wheel drive is quite rich. However, it is mostly associated with automatic transmissions and therefore more expensive. You won’t find many with a manual gearbox. The cheapest are Dacia Duster and SsangYong Korando.
Although some environmentalists don’t like it, the best-selling segment among passenger cars is currently that of compact SUVs. And Dacia Duster or SsangYong Korando achieve great results in this packed group. They score particularly well with a favorable price and appeal to many customers with simple technology without electric auxiliary power units or unnecessarily large digitization. You can also have them with all-wheel drive without an automatic transmission, which is also not seen much anymore. Therefore, it is not even surprising that even after the first four months of this year, Dacia Duster remains in the top five best-selling compact SUVs, and Korando (the SsangYong brand entered the SDA statistics only in 2022) occupies a beautiful seventh place.
We have been seeing both cars on Czech roads for some time now. The second generation of the successful duster was introduced in 2017 and was gradually improved by Dacia. The main change took place last year, when the Romanian brand completely changed its identity, including the logo. The traditional, easily recognizable silhouette with raised fender edges was thus complemented by a new radiator grille with a modern emblem inspired by the letters DC. The same logo can also be found on the wheels and the Dacia lettering has appeared on the trunk lid at the back. What we like about the duster is that it looks solid and doesn’t play around with anything. On the other hand, it is not a handsome man who magnetizes the surroundings. Even the fifth generation Korand, which arrived in 2019, is not one of the hot guys. In our opinion, the pursuit of the originality of some parts or details is questionable. We can at least praise the balanced proportions of the more angular body. You will find a whole range of more distinctive and beautiful competitors among compact SUVs. Even so, we are happy with the expression koranda, because in the past the designers of the SsangYong brand had no taste at all.

The presentation of the third generation of the popular Dacia Duster is approaching, it should happen next year. So it’s no wonder that illustrations are appearing on the Internet trying to guess what the Romanian hit could look like in the new edition.
A well-known designer and virtual artist also comes with his own design Lars Sรคltzerwho boasted the vision of the new Dacia Duster on Instagram.
His idea of โโwhat the next generation could look like is very strongly inspired by the Bigster concept, presented at the beginning of 2021. So Lars comes up with new body shapes that are bolder, sharper and more angular.
At first glance, the muscular hips will catch your eye, especially the rear ones are really noticeable. There are also interesting bumpers, an unusually shaped front hood and massive D-pillars.
The front part is dominated by a new front mask with connected headlights, which received diodes in the shape of the letter Y. By the way, the rear lights are also reminiscent of this.
Even though the premiere of the car is still a few months away, we already know that the new Duster will use the CMF-B platform, known from the Sandero, Logan and Jogger models.
The basis of the range of engines will probably be a turbocharged three-cylinder petrol 1.2 TCe supplemented with 48V mild-hybrid technology. This aggregate is to be available in two performance variants and also in an LPG version. In addition, it will offer a choice between manual and automatic transmission, and there is also talk of an all-wheel drive version. The hybrid Duster E-Tech will also arrive. However, diesel units will be missing, as Dacia is completely saying goodbye to diesel engines.
The third generation Dacia Duster should arrive next year. And in 2025, its larger relative will arrive, a seven-seater SUV, for which the name Bigster is used for now. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the production car will also carry this label.

The third generation Dacia Duster will probably arrive next year. What could she look like?
The answer to this question is offered by the graphics of the motoring website Bikes, which comes with its own design as a successor to the popular SUV. Of course, his vision is strongly inspired by the Bigster concept, presented at the beginning of 2021. In addition, however, it includes elements that have already managed to reveal photos of camouflaged prototypes captured during testing.
The graphic artist imagines the new generation of Duster with similar proportions to the current version, the rising bottom line of the windows is also typical for the Romanian SUV. Otherwise, we can consider the design as new. The new front mask with connected headlights is impressive, the front bumper is distinctive. The appearance of the fenders is certainly worth mentioning, however, we see the treatment of the rear parts as the most controversial, with lights reminiscent of the “laying down” letter Y.
