Yesterday saw mixed performance across the Abu Dhabi and โDubai financial markets.
Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange โ(ADX)
The ADX general index experienced aโ slight โdecline.โข Trading volume reached 869.56โค million dirhams, involving 246.32 million shares traded across 19,009 deals. 37 companies saw share price decreases, whileโฃ 41 increased โคand 42โค remained stable.
Al-Alamiah Holding led in trading value, reaching 117.73 million dirhams, followed by Malagaplay (94.46โ million dirhams), ADNOC Gas โค(83.38 million dirhams), and “houses” (75.34 million dirhams).
In terms โฃof volume, Ishraq investmentโค was โคthe most actively traded stock with 32.6 million shares, followed by Mustablay (29.88 million shares), ADNOC Gas (24.58 โmillion shares), and “houses”โ (23.51 million shares).Several โstocks saw gains: Mustablayโ increased โคby 2.58% to close at 3.18 dirhams, ADNOC Gas rose by 0.89% to 3.4 dirhams, “houses” gained 0.57% โขto close at 0.351 dirhams, and ADNOC Drilling increasedโ by 0.72% to 5.55 dirhams.
Foreign and Arab investors demonstrated a net investment of approximately 19 โmillion โdirhams in Abu Dhabi stocks, with purchases totaling 221.17 million dirhams againstโฃ sales โคof 202.1 million dirhams. Gulf investors contributed โคa net purchase of 27.22 million dirhams,โค while other Arab investors showed โฃa net purchase of 1.41 million dirhams.
Dubai Financial Market (DFM)
The DFM generalโ index closed with โขa modest โincrease of 9.48โค points, representing aโฃ 0.15% rise, to โฃfinish at 6135.37 points. โ27 companiesโฃ saw share price increases, compared to 18โ declines โฃand 6 that remained unchanged.
Total trading โvalue โin Dubai reachedโฃ 665.62 โmillion dirhams, with 346 million shares changing hands through 13,729 transactions.
“Requests” topped the list of most actively traded stocksโ by value, reaching 189.9 million dirhams, followedโค by Emaar Realโค Estate (128.99 million dirhams) and Dubai Islamic Bank (47.23 million dirhams).โค
By volume,”Requests” led with โ162.54 million shares, followed โขby shuaa Capital (29.26 million shares) and โคReal Estate Union (15.82 million shares).
Notable gains were seen inโ Al-Ittihad Real Estateโ (1.18% toโข 0.853 dirhams), Emaar Real Estate โข(1% to 14.85 dirhams), and Dubai Islamic Bank (0.4% toโค 9.81 dirhams). Conversely, “Requests” decreased by โ1.66% to close at 1.18 dirhams, and emirates NBD fell byโ 1.53% to 25.6 dirhams.
Foreignโ investors in the DFM recorded a net โoutflow of 2.33 millionโ dirhams, with purchasesโฃ of โฃ342.15 millionโข dirhams and โsales of 344.49 million dirhams.Financial institutions showed a net outflow of 41.16 million dirhams, with purchases of 439.51 millionโ dirhams and sales of 480.67 million โdirhams.
Theโ market โขcapitalizationโฃ of shares traded in Dubai โincreased โฃby 506 million dirhams to reach 1.051 โtrillion dirhams yesterday.
