“We will process this to the next stage as soon as possible, also by considering the facts presented in the bribery trial,” stated KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo on Monday, July 28, 2025.Budi further elaborated on the potential timeline for Donny’s re-examination and the KPK’s commitment to his detention, which will proceed once the investigation files are ready.
The KPK also reaffirmed its ongoing efforts to locate Harun Masiku, the central figure in the bribery allegations. Budi emphasized that the continued pursuit of Masiku demonstrates the KPK’s dedication to resolving the case. “The KPK continues to search for and track the whereabouts of the wanted suspect Harun Masiku as a testament to the KPK’s commitment to completing this case. This is so that the individual can be brought to trial to account for the alleged criminal acts he committed,” he added.
Donny Tri, along with Hasto Kristiyanto, was named a suspect by the KPK late last year. The alleged bribe was intended to facilitate Harun Masiku’s replacement in Parliament. While Donny Tri has not yet been detained, Hasto Kristiyanto was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison by the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta for bribery and obstruction of justice.
