March, the founder of the plant-forward catering company ItsFoodDetroit, is recognized as one of the few Black pizza makers in the city. Her vegan pizzas, such as the Gratiot Pesto which substitutes parmesan with generous amounts of garlic and herbs for a vibrant flavor, and the No swine Hawaiian featuring sweet seitan bacon in place of traditional ham, have garnered significant attention. Due to the overwhelming demand, March has extended her pop-up hours to include the first Saturday of each month, in addition to her regular Sunday service.
