Medvedev Warns of WWIII Over Trump’s Policies & Iran Conflict

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council and former President, warned that a third world war could erupt if U.S. President Donald Trump continues his current course of action, according to reports from Russian state media. Medvedev’s comments followed a U.S. And Israeli military operation against Iran.

“If D. Trump continues his reckless course of changing political regimes, a Third World War will inevitably begin. Any event can be the spark. This is a war by the U.S. And its allies to maintain dominance in the world. Pigs don’t want to exit the trough,” Medvedev stated, as cited by Delfi, a Lithuanian news outlet.

Medvedev asserted that Iran would retaliate against the U.S. And Israel, despite a perceived initial lack of response. “The fact that the Iranians have not yet reacted seriously shows that they do not have many opportunities. However, they know how to wait, This proves an ancient civilization,” he added.

The former Russian president accused Trump of making a “gross mistake” that places all Americans in danger, predicting that Iran would now pursue nuclear weapons “with triple energy.” He also expressed concern that Western nations might address perceived issues with Moscow following the events in Iran. “There are no and cannot be miraculous remedies for the actions of terrible idiots and clinical scoundrels,” Medvedev said.

Medvedev further criticized Europe for its “weak reaction” to the U.S. And Israeli actions, labeling European nations as “lackeys” who were “gladly wiping their faces with a portion of American and Israeli ‘yellow dust.’”

The U.S. Military operation in Iran, dubbed “Epic Fury,” is expected to be prolonged, according to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine. Speaking at a Pentagon press conference alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Caine indicated that achieving military objectives would require sustained effort and potentially incur losses. “We understand that we will still suffer losses during the operation and are doing everything to minimize them,” Caine stated.

Trump has not directly responded to Medvedev’s statements as of Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 2026.
