Rafael Cavada and Diana Aurenque End Relationship,Citing Personalโ Struggles
Santiago,Chile – Chilean journalist Rafael Cavada announced the end of โขhis relationship with philosopher Diana Aurenque on thursday, citingโ the strain โขhis ongoing โpersonal โคissuesโฃ have placed on her. The announcement, made โคvia anโข Instagram post, comes โขa little over aโ year after Cavada publicly acknowledged Aurenque asโฃ “the head of my โคsmiles.”
Cavada’s statement reveals โฃa mutual decision reached after careful โconsideration. He explained that his “load” – stemming from a prior domestic violence accusation from which heโ was ultimately dismissed – โขhad become an unfair burden for Aurenque.โข “Today your smileโ is more elusive andโ I do not want it to continue like this,” he wrote. “It is not fair that this whole load – which I must solve – ends on your shoulders.”
Aurenque entered Cavada’s life during a difficult period, following a complaint of domestic violence that was โlater dropped. Cavada acknowledged her essential support during the accusations, online โaggression, and job instabilityโข that followed.
He continued, “You do not deserve this endless path, supporting someone caught in unsustainable situations โฃand in a veryโข long โคprocess in โขthe hands of a well-intentionedโ justice, but dilentic, clumsyโ and often deaf and indifferent.”โข Despite โtheโ breakup, Cavada emphasized that their “affective responsibility does not extinguish” and they will remain โขa family.
Aurenqueโ responded toโ the post withโ a โmessage of support: “Always family, endurance.”
