Deutsche Bahn to Expand International Rail Bookings, Introduce New Routes in December
Berlin โฃ- Travelers across โEurope will have more options and streamlined booking when Deutsche Bahn โ(DB) implements its new timetable on December 14th, with bookings opening October 15th. โคTeh changes include expanded international ticket availabilityโค and new high-speed railโข connections.
The โtimetable update will significantly benefit passengers traveling to and from Germany,offering integrated ticketing for routes spanning multiple countries. DB โwill now allow booking of many inner French TGV connections, โขas โwell โas Eurostar tickets, directly โฃthru Bahn.de โor the DB Navigator app. This means โฃtravelers can purchase tickets for journeys like Frankfurtโ to London or Paris to Marseille in a single transaction. Additionally, night train services operated by Austrian Federal Railways (รBB) that โtravel through Germany are nowโข accessible via DB’s sales channels.
New routesโฃ will also becomeโ available. From September, an ICE trainโข will run from cologne โขto Antwerp four times daily, stopping at Brussels Airport. Furthermore,โ a new โICEโค connectionโ will link Prague to Copenhagen via Dresden, Berlin, and Hamburg.
Thesโ changes aim to simplify โคinternationalโฃ rail travel and encourage a shift towards more sustainable transportation options. The expanded booking options andโฃ new routes โคare expected to appeal to both โleisure and business travelers.
