Delhi Air Quality remains ‘Very โขPoor’; โขFour Areas Hit ‘Severe’ Levels
New Delhi – โDelhi residentsโค continued to breatheโ heavily polluted โคairโ on Tuesday, November 4, 2025,โ as โthe overall Air Quality index (AQI) remained in the ‘very poor’ categoryโข at a readingโข of 311. Critically, four monitoring stations across the city โregistered ‘severe’ levels of pollution, raising concerns for โpublic โhealth.
The deteriorating air quality impacts millions inโข the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), exacerbating respiratory illnesses and โคcardiovascular problems, especiallyโข among vulnerable populations โlike children and the elderly. Prolongedโฃ exposure to such high pollution levels can โฃlead to long-term health complications and reduced life expectancy. Authorities are monitoring the situationโ and โฃconsidering further measures to mitigate the crisis as winter approaches,โ typically worsening air quality due to โmeteorological factors and โseasonal โฃemissions.
according to data from the Central Pollution โคControl Board’s (CPCB) sameer app, โAlipur recorded an โAQI โคof โ421,โ Wazirpur 407, Bawana 402, and Anand vihar 412 – all fallingโ within the ‘severe’ range. An additional seventeen monitoringโข stations throughout โthe city registered ‘very poor’ air โquality, wiht โreadings exceeding 300.
The CPCB classifies airโ quality as follows: 0-50 (“good”), 51-100 โค(“satisfactory”), 101-200 โ(“moderate”),โ 201-300 (“poor”), 301-400 (“very poor”), and 401-500โ (“severe”).
The minimum temperature in Delhi settled at 16.5 degrees โขCelsius, slightlyโฃ above the seasonalโฃ average, with humidity at 94% as of 8:30 am. The weather department forecasts a โpartly cloudyโ sky withโ a maximum temperature around 29 โdegrees Celsius.
