Tramisha Mullings, a residentโ at Breakthru House,โค shared a painfulโ chapter of her journey. “I lost my two oldest kids as of domestic violence,” she said,visiblyโ emotional. “They whentโข toโ school and said they where tiredโฃ of seeing โme getting hands put on me, so I lost them.”โ Mullings later gave birth to a daughter who entered the foster care system due to her opioid use during pregnancy; the child is now being raised by Mullings’ grandmother. “I have shame and guilt behind my drug usage,” Mullings stated. โ”I’m working through my issues and want to have another chance at being a mother again.”
For another resident, identified asโ Rollen, the program โขhas fostered a sense of hope. โShe is approaching a important milestone in her recovery. “Coming up in December, I’llโฃ have โขnine months clean on the 28th,” Rollen shared. “It feels grate.”
