Risi Competizione Back at Rolex 24 After One-Year Break

It has been a long wait for Risi Competizione to get back to the rolex 24 At Daytona.

The Houston, Texas-based team was not a​ participant ⁢in last year’s running ‍of the endurance classic despite taking a Grand Touring Daytona ⁢(GTD) Pro class victory in the 2024 edition of the event. They spent the past year working as part of a technical alliance with DragonSpeed’s full ‌season Ferrari GTD Pro entry. Now,⁤ though, they are ‌back adn are set to‍ contend all five rounds of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup.

Full endurance season drivers for Risi Competizione’s No. 62 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo⁢ include Daniel Serra and Davide Rigon, with 2025 FIA ⁣World ‌Endurance Champion Alessandro Pier Guidi joining for the Rolex 24.

“I’m⁣ very ⁤happy to be back with Risi ‌and start this season in Daytona, which⁢ is one ‌of my ‍favorite races,” Serra said. “I’m glad to be back with Davide and Ale. Last time in Daytona together we won so it’s a very nice memory.We did⁢ all the testing during the Roar.We have⁣ a‍ lot of data to​ analyze and put everything together for the race weekend and I’m looking forward⁢ to the race.”

The‌ only absentee from ⁣the current driver roster⁤ that ⁣was part ⁤of the ‌‘24 victory is⁤ James Calado.

“It’s quite good here (at Daytona),”⁢ Rigon said. “We worked ⁤a lot during the Roar with the car ‌and ⁢the data ⁢to find the best‍ setup ​for the race and the season and ⁢we ended up pretty happy. Of course, I’m not 100 percent ⁤sure, but⁣ I’m happy about the​ car balance.

“Let’s see this week ⁢with the warmer ​temperature how it changes, but ⁢we’ll be prepared. Of course it’s been amazing ‌to be back here with (Team Principal) Guiseppe Risi and team. We’re super motivated to do our⁤ best.”
