Cincinnati high School Football Playoff Preview: Moeller, St. โขXavier,Indian Hill,and Taft Headline Regional Showdowns
Cincinnati,OH – November 12,2025 โค -โ Theโ Cincinnati areaโ is poised for a thrilling weekendโ of โhighโฃ school football as regional playoffโ matchups pit several local powerhouses against toughโค competition. Moeller, St. Xavier,โ indian Hill, and Taft are all vying forโ a spot in โคtheir respective state championship games.
Moeller and st.Xavier, long-standing rivals, are both competing โขinโ Division I. Moeller faces โa challenging โขopponent, while St. Xavier will look to continue its strong season. In Division III, Indian Hill โaims to advance, andโข Taft will โขbattle for โขa spot โคin the Division V bracket.
The stakes are particularlyโข high โฃfor New โPalestine โ(11-0), rankedโ No. 1 โinโ 5A, as they travel to St. Leon toโ face East Central (9-2). This is a rematch of theโ 2023 4A state semifinals, won โbyโ New Palestine 49-0 en routeโ to a state title – East Central’s last defeat. โขNew Palestine has since won 25 consecutiveโค games, including โคthe โค2024 4A state championship. โThis season, new Palestine has dominated opponents withโ a 530-54โข scoring margin, with โJacob Davis andโข Caleb Jacobiaโ leading a potent rushing attack and Davis also excelling as a passer with 1,634 yards and 19 โtouchdowns against only one interception. East Central is led by junior โColton Bellman, with 1,480 rushing yards, and Karson Dorsey,โฃ who has six interceptions this season.
In Class 3A, Lawrenceburg (10-1) hosts โคCascadeโ (12-0). Lawrenceburg has won 10 straight, outscoring opponents 467-96, โขand is ranked fourth in the finalโฃ 3A state โpoll. โCascade, despite being unranked, โhas been โequallyโข dominant, โwinning its three playoff โgames by โa โcombined score of โข152-35 โฃand averaging โ56 points per game on offense. Cascade’s rushing attack features โขthree players with over 700โข yards each, and senior quarterback Brady Trebley has thrown โขfor 1,786 yards and 28 touchdowns without an interception.
