Lithuanian Basketball star Edvinas Šeškus Uncertain About Return to the Court,Prioritizes Family
VILNIUS,Lithuania – Edvinas Šeškus,husband of singer Dalia Belickaitė and former professional basketball player,has addressed ongoing speculation about his potential return to the sport,stating he is currently unsure if and when he will play again. Šeškus shared his thoughts in a recent social media post responding to frequent inquiries from fans.
While acknowledging he was “very close to my return this season,” Šeškus explained he ultimately decided against it due to the prospect of relocating to another country and extended time away from his family. “As a result, the solution was quite easy, money is made, and you will never turn away with growing daughters,” he wrote.
despite this, Šeškus hasn’t ruled out a future return to basketball. He suggested possibilities including playing in Asia with his family, participating in 3×3 basketball, or returning to 5×5 competition in Europe. “After the new year,we will see,” he stated.

Šeškus began his basketball career in 2008 and most recently played for CBET Jonava from 2020-2024. He has consistently left the door open to a potential continuation of his basketball career.
Previously, Šeškus indicated that following his participation in the ”Masks” project, he received encouragement to refocus on training. He also mentioned plans to potentially play in Asia, but emphasized the importance of enjoying his current pursuits. “I don’t say ‘no’ to basketball,” he saeid in a prior press release. “Maybe this project will end and I will fly to Asia. There are all kinds of options.” He reiterated that his primary focus is currently on spending time with his family and children.
