Nicole Hall, spokesperson forโ San Diego International Airport, stated thatโ theโ spill was successfully contained and cleaned up, allowing for the resumption of regular flight schedules by mid-afternoon.”Airport operations are back to normal,” Hall confirmed.
Initial reports from the Federal Aviation Governanceโฃ (FAA) indicated potential delays of up to โค50 minutes. Though, Hall clarified โขthat the actual delays were shorter in duration.โ As of 3 p.m. Pacific Time, the FAA โwebsite reported significantly โขreduced delays.”Traffic isโค experiencing โคgateโค hold and taxi delaysโ lasting 15โ minutes or less,” the FAA stated. “Arrival traffic is experiencing airborne delays of โ15 minutes or less.”
