During the Cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in the New Administrative Capital, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, reviewed the procedures and movements taken by the Ministry and the relevant agencies during the recent period to deal with the sugar crisis, noting that The past few days have begun to witness the pumping of large quantities of sugar into the markets. So far, 245 thousand tons have been pumped into the markets, which contributed to the beginning of solving the problem, and in turn the markets will stabilize.

The minister said: We have a large reserve in the governorates currently, and we are continuing to pump large quantities, especially since the beginning of next January will begin the sugar cane season, and production will increase significantly, pointing out that the global price of sugar has also begun to decline, and this is a good indicator.

Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi confirmed that there is great cooperation from the relevant ministries to solve this problem, and added: There is a major breakthrough in the sugar problem, and we will continue to pump in large quantities.

In another context, Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, presented during the meeting an explanation to members of the government about the details of what happened in the last round of the Renaissance Dam negotiations. The minister also listed the constants of the Egyptian state regarding this important file.

These conflicts are like the one Egypt is witnessing, noting that this situation imposes serious repercussions on the Egyptian state that must be dealt with.
