Tรผrkiyeโ to โParticipate โคinโ Ceasefire Oversight Task โForce for Gaza
Jakarta – Tรผrkiye will join an international “task force”โค to monitor the implementation ofโ the ceasefire โagreement โbetween Israel and Hamas,Presidentโข Recepโค Tayyipโ erdogan announced Thursday.
“We hopeโฃ to join the task force โthat will monitor the implementation of the agreement on the ground,” Erdogan stated, according โtoโข reports from AFP.
Erdogan emphasized the critical need for immediate humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza, the exchange of hostages and โprisoners, and a cessation of Israeli โattacks. “It is very important for the immediate deliveryโ of thorough humanitarian aid to Gaza, theโค exchange of โhostages and prisoners, and for Israel to promptly โคstop its attacks,”โ he said.
Tรผrkiye actively participated โin โฃnegotiations leading โtoโค the agreement, dispatching a team โtoโค talksโ held in Sharm โคel-Sheikh, Egypt. The country also intends to collaborate with โฃthe international community on reconstruction efforts for Gaza.โฃ
“Our goal is โto stopโข the genocide in Gaza and bringโฃ peace toโ the region as quickly โas possible,” Erdogan affirmed.
the agreement, announcedโ by U.S. President โDonald Trump, outlines a phased approach including the โrelease ofโ all prisoners, โIsraeli troopโข withdrawal โขto agreed-upon lines, and the entry of aid โขinto Gaza. Trump stated all parties would be treated fairly and acknowledgedโ the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt, and Tรผrkiye.
