‘Peaky Blinders‘ Universe expands: Netflix Orders Two New Series Following Highlyโ Anticipated โขFilm
The saga of the Shelby family will continue beyond the forthcoming film, as Netflix and the BBC have โฃgreenlit two new Peaky Blinders series. Announced today, the โcontinuation willโ unfold as two separate six-episode installments, each running 60 minutes,โ and willโ be filmed in Birmingham.
The new series will pick โคup after the events of the โcurrently post-production film, tentatively titled The โขImmortal Man, which stars Cillian Murphy, โขalongsideโ Stephen Graham,โค Tim Roth, Rebecca Ferguson, and Barry Keoghan. the setting โshifts to post-World War II โคBirmingham, a city ravaged by Nazi bombingsโ and ripeโค for a โคpower struggle over reconstruction projects – a landscape perfectly suited for the ambitions of the Shelby organization.
While Cillian Murphy’s on-screen โrole in the series remains unconfirmed, he will serve as an executive Producer alongsideโ representatives fromโ Netflix and the BBC. Production willโ be handledโ by Kudos (known for SAS Men, The Guinness House, โขand โ Grantchester) and Garrison Drama, the company behind the original Peaky Blinders.
