NYU โStudent Group advocates for Marxist Change at ‘No Kings‘ Rally to Challenge Capitalism
NEW โคYORK โฃCITY โข- A student-run group identifying as “NYU Communists,” a chapter of โthe Revolutionary Communists of America, participatedโ in โคthe nationwide “No Kings” rally Saturday, advocating for the dismantlingโ of โคcapitalism and highlightingโฃ anti-billionaire sentiment.The โgroup, โwhile โactive onโข campus, is not officially affiliated with Newโ York University, according to a university spokesperson.
The “No Kings” demonstration,โฃ held in New York City โคand other locations across the country on October 18, 2025, drewโค thousands โofโค largely peaceful protesters. โค”NYU Communists” members distributed โcopies of “The Communist,” a publication โขofโ the Revolutionaryโ Communists โฃof America, featuring the headline โข”The Billionaires are theโข Enemy.” The newspaper, โคprinted โin multicolor and includingโ a barcode for membership โฃsign-ups, solicits a $5 “solidarity” donation. โ
Articles withinโฃ the 15-page publication included โคpieces โtitled “Reserve your Spot at a Marxist School Near You,” “Israel’s War on the Truth,”โ and “Record 70% Nowโค Believeโค theโข ‘American Dream’ wasโ a Lie.”
NYU spokesperson John โBeckman โคconfirmed the university’s lack of affiliation โwith the student group. “There is no registered or university-recognized group called โ’NYU Communists,’ and we’re unfamiliar with them,” Beckmanโ told Fox News Digital.
The “No Kings” rally received funding โคfrom multipleโ sources, including Democratic donor george Sorosโข and other nonprofits. Former President โDonald Trump statedโ Sunday hisโฃ management would investigate the funding sourcesโ behind the nationwide protests,commenting,”I guess [the No Kings protest] wasโข paid forโค by Soros and other radical โขleft lunaticsโฆ We’re checking it out.”
The Revolutionary Communists of โขAmerica and “NYU Communists” were contacted for comment but have not โyet responded.
