Kai Tak Sports Park is โฃfully prepared to host events for the upcoming national Games,officials confirmed,marking a key milestone for the venue โsince its โคMarch opening.โค The park has undergone extensive testing through a series of sports and music events to refine operational logistics.
Hong Kong will co-host the National Games with Guangdong and Macau fromโข november โค9 to 21. The Kaiโฃ Tak Stadium, โwithโ aโ capacity of 50,000, will host rugbyโข sevens, while the 10,000-seat Kai Tak Arena will be the venue forโ fencing andโค men’s handball competitions.
According to Tang King-shing, strategic planning director overseeing operations at KTSP, his team now has a “basic plan” for all aspects of event management, regardless of the competition’s scale. “Whetherโ it is indeed the โOlympics, the โฃasian Games, or the National Games, there’s no difference,” he said.
tang explained that the General Governance of Sport of China (GASC) has established detailed โregulations for the National Games, coveringโ everythingโค from spectator flow to minute details likeโค lighting and court markings. He noted these specifications were โbeing finalized even beforeโข the park’s test events.
Senior government officials stated that preparations areโ well โadvanced, having moved beyond logistical details such as player โexit routes.
