Laury Thilleman Reconnects with Childhood Passion During Chile Filming of “Rendez-vous en terre inconnue”
Chile – laury thilleman, the new host of “Rendez-vous en terre inconnue” (“Meet in unknown land”), experienced a deeply emotional moment during filming in Chile, rekindling a passion she was forced too abandon nearly 25 years ago. The former Miss France 2011, taking over the program from Frédéric Lopez, was able to ride horses again thanks to medical support during the production.
Thilleman was compelled to give up horseback riding at age 10 due to animal allergies. However, while filming alongside cyril Lignac amongst the Gauchos, she was given the opportunity to ride once more. “We went to train a black and white horse (…) I am so happy and grateful to reconnect with horses after all these years apart,” she shared in a logbook obtained by TV Magazine. The show’s doctor adjusted her treatment to allow her to participate, noting, “Yesterday, the allergies caught up with me but today, my body seems to leave me alone to enjoy these precious moments with our horse breeders and riders.”
The experience proved profoundly moving for Thilleman, representing a return to a beloved part of her childhood. While the trip also presented emotional challenges – including witnessing cattle branding and castration – the reconnection with horses stood out as a highlight, allowing her to rediscover a joy long thought lost.
