Cardi B Throws Pen at Reporter Asking About Pregnancy Rumors Following Court Victory
LOS ANGELES – Cardi B threw a pen at a member of the press Tuesday after a reporter questioned her about pregnancy rumors involving both her ex-husband, Offset, adn current boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs, following her win in a civil lawsuit. The incident occurred outside the Beverly Hills courthouse after two days of testimony in a case brought against her by a security guard.
According to reporting from TMZ, the reporter asked Cardi B, “Insiders are claiming that Offset is publicly bragging about getting you pregnant for the fourth time. Do you foresee any paternity issues with Stefon Diggs?”
Cardi B responded by taking a pen from a fan and throwing it toward the reporter, stating, “Stop disrespecting me.” She repeated, “Don’t disrespect me,” as her security team surrounded her.
“I don’t care. You’re disrespectful, don’t do that. Do you see women asking those types of questions to me?” Cardi B continued, addressing the reporter as she walked toward her SUV. “Why do you feel, as a man, you get to ask me those types of questions? Act like you have some manners. And your mama taught you, respect women.”
She concluded by telling the press, “You’re not going to see me out today, and you can thank him. I’m not playing around.I was very nice. I was very kind.”
The exchange followed a jury’s decision finding Cardi B not liable on all counts in a $24 million civil lawsuit filed by Emani Ellis, a Beverly Hills security guard. Ellis alleged assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress stemming from a 2023 confrontation outside an obstetrician’s office, claiming Cardi B scratched her face with a nail extension.
“I swear to God, I will say it on my deathbed, I did not touch that woman,” Cardi B said outside the courthouse. She also noted she had missed her children’s first day of school due to the trial.
cardi B, 32, shares three children with Offset, whom she married in 2017 and separated from in 2024 after a previous attempt at divorce in 2020. She went public with her relationship with Diggs earlier this year, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. The origin of the pregnancy rumors remains unclear.
