Munich – TSV 1860 Munich President Michael mang defended the recent dismissals of managing โขdirector Christian Werner โand head coachโค Patrick Glรถckner,statingโ a pattern of “neglect” across the club contributed toโค the decisions.the comments came โฃduring a press conference addressing the notable โคrestructuring underway at the historicโฃ football club.
Mangโ emphasized the separations weren’t solely aboutโค on-fieldโฃ performance, but encompassed a broader assessment of the club’s leadership and direction. “It’s not just about โthe team, โขit’sโ about โthe entire club, the โway the club leads,” Mang explained. “We โคput a lot on the boys, โคyou just neglected. The dismissal of โคcoach Glรถckner followed poor results and aโข perceived lack โof progress. “There were simply not the โresults, but also theโ way,” Mang said, adding the decision to make a change after the Aue game was “a right decision for us.” He reported the teamโ remains “intact, is hot, hungry, it wants to go forward.”
As part of a complete organizational overhaul, 1860 Munich plans toโ appoint a commercial manager focused on finances โฃand licensing, a sportsโ director, โคand a โคtechnical director to oversee youth development – a core tenet of the club’s identity.
