White Sox prospect Caleb bonemer Named to MLB Pipeline‘s All-Breakout Team
Winston-Salem,NC – September 3,2025 - Chicago White Sox shortstop prospect Caleb Bonemer has been named to MLB Pipeline’s All-Breakout Team for 2025,recognizing his rapid ascent through the minor leagues this season. The recognition comes as Bonemer continues to climb prospect rankings, now appearing on top-100 lists from both MLB Pipeline and baseball America.
Bonemer, a 2024 second-round draft pick, has quickly established himself as one of the White Sox’s most promising young players. His performance this season has exceeded expectations, notably given his relatively recent entry into professional baseball. This breakout season significantly boosts the white Sox’s farm system outlook and provides a potential future cornerstone for the institution.
MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis noted Bonemer’s surprising defensive ability at shortstop, adding that he “may be able to stay there,” alongside a .283/.403/.480 slash line with 12 home runs in 101 games across two Class A levels.Bonemer was recently promoted to high Single-A Winston-Salem after a dominant stint at low-A Kannapolis, where he hit.281 with 10 home runs and 58 RBIs in 96 games, compiling an .858 OPS. He’s continued to impress with the Dash, hitting .286 with two home runs and a 1.162 OPS in 21 at-bats.Entering the season unranked among the White Sox’s top prospects, Bonemer was identified in June as one of Baseball America’s “biggest early risers” for the 2025 season. The Okemos, Michigan native was a two-time Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year.
