‘Chhota Bheem‘ Studio Green Gold animation Teams with Red Kite for Adult Animated Action Film ‘The Assassin’
HYDERABAD, INDIA – โขGreen Gold Animation, the Indian studio behind the popular “Chhota โคBheem” franchise, is expanding into adult-oriented animationโฃ with a co-production partnership with U.K.-based Red Kite Animation.The collaboration willโข bring to life “The Assassin,” an ultra-cinematic action film set in a near-future metropolis, currently in active advancement.
The project โmarksโ a creativeโ departure for โGreen Gold, โknown forโค its family-friendly content. “The Assassin” follows a โyoung man driven to change and rebellion after a โฃdevastating industrial โคtragedy, challenging corporate โขpower โขwithin the city.
martyn Pick, director ofโข the CGI action-animation feature โ”Ultramarines: A Warhammerโค 40,000 โขMovie” (2010),โค will write and direct the film.Script editingโ will be handledโค by Martha MacDiarmid, whose previous work includes “nessie Junior,” continuing a creative relationship โwith Red Kite.

Visual development is being led by Pickโ in โฃcollaboration with Green Gold’s design team in Hyderabad, establishing the film’s stylistic foundation.

The film aims to qualify under the India-U.K. โCo-Production Treaty, with production planned across both countries.Financing will include the U.K.’s Autonomous Film Taxโ Credit, with both โคstudios participating as equitable โpartners throughout development, โขproduction, and distribution. The โฃproject will utilize a combinationโ of guerrilla live-action, rotoscoping, and โhigh-end animation techniques.
