Chery J6T Officially Introduced, Price Announced at GJAW 2025
Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has officially launched the all-electric Chery J6T in indonesia, with pricing revealed at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025.The new electric vehicle (EV) boasts updated styling and enhanced features, signaling CSI’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Indonesian automotive market.
The introduction of the J6T comes as Indonesia’s EV market experiences rapid growth, driven by government incentives and increasing consumer demand for enduring transportation options. The J6T is positioned to compete directly with other EVs in the burgeoning Indonesian market, offering a blend of style, functionality, and affordability. This launch is significant for both Chery and indonesian consumers seeking electric mobility solutions.
CSI’s Sales Director, Budi Darmawan, highlighted the vehicle’s refined design during the launch event in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, on Saturday, November 8th. “The evolution of strength and toughness now comes with a touch of refinement in every detail,” Darmawan stated.
The updated J6T features new front and rear bumpers designed for improved proportionality, along with a repositioned front camera and a new Chery logo, contributing to a fresher aesthetic. Additional design elements include dual guards, a box-shaped storage compartment, and redesigned fenders, blending practicality with SUV styling.
The Chery J6T measures 4,433 mm in length, 1,916 mm in width, and 1,741 mm in height. ground clearance has been increased to 225 mm. Pricing details were announced at GJAW 2025, with CSI aiming to begin deliveries in early 2026.
