Fugitive in Las Vegas Casino Robberies โขApprehended โฃin Miamiโ Beach
MIAMI BEACH, FL – A man โคpreviously convicted for a series of brazen casino robberies in Las Vegas was arrested in Miamiโข Beachโ this week, authorities announced. Joshua Styles, 34, was taken into custody by the Miami Beach Police Department with assistance fromโ federal partners. He now faces additional charges, including human โtrafficking, according โto police.
Styles was initially โarrested inโ April 2023 and later โconvicted for robberies targeting multiple Las Vegas casinos beginning in November 2022. These included the M Resort, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, โGreen Valley Ranch, Silverton Casino Hotel, Rampart Casino, and Palace station. Investigators linked Styles to โthe crimes through DNA evidence recovered โfrom a baseball cap found at the M Resort.
During the 2022-2023 spree, Styles allegedly used stolen vehicles, including one obtained after he reportedly threatened a man with what appeared to โคbe a gunโ and stole his keys.He was โคbooked into the Clark County โขDetention Center on over 60 charges, encompassing robbery, attempted robbery, grand larceny, and burglary.
Prior to the casinoโฃ robberies, Styles had a previous convictionโ for at least 13 robberies committedโฃ in 2009. In september 2023, he pleaded guilty to two countsโ of robbery and was sentenced toโค six to 15 years in theโค Nevada department ofโค Corrections. Heโ was granted parole in December 2023 and placed on house arrest forโ oneโค year,โ with โstipulations including community service, full-time employment, โคabstinence from alcohol, and a prohibitionโฃ against firearm ownership.
