Emmanuel Reyes Carmona indicated that the health authority and the National Vaccination Council (CONAVA) will issue the measures for vaccination, including age groups and priority populations, updating the vaccines, the logistics for their application and the criteria for their release to the market.
He highlighted that the objective is to achieve broader and free access to these products, which could be essential to speed up vaccination and control the spread of the disease more effectively.
The Morenista maintained that government control in the acquisition, distribution and administration of vaccines, as happened with the Covid-19 pandemic, has limited the population’s access to these therapeutic resources.
He added that the current regulation has not been updated to incorporate the new versions of vaccines designed specifically for combat new variants of Covid-19, generating additional challenges.
In this sense, he assured that a reform for effective vaccination in times of health emergencies is necessary. to strengthen the response to the Covid-19 pandemic, protect public health and adapt to changing circumstances.
