Ceasefire in โGaza Repeatedly โคBreached as Violence Resumesโ Following trump-Brokered Agreement
Gaza – A fragile ceasefire intended to bring relief โฃto Palestinians is collapsing as Israel resumes attacks on Gaza, justโ hours after announcing its “reapplication.” The โrenewed violenceโฃ follows aโฃ pattern established after the implementation of a 20-pointโค peace plan brokered by former U.S. President Donald Trump, which critics โsay heavily favored Israelโ adnโข offered minimal โguarantees for Palestinian safety and humanitarian aid.
The Trump โplan, unveiled earlier this year, granted Israel the right to retaliate without jeopardizing the truce. This stance, described as “Trumpianโค jargon” and “MAGA neorealism,” appears toโ have emboldened the Netanyahuโฃ goverment to continue military operations despite the ceasefire โคagreement.โ The situation โฃunderscores the precariousness of the truce and the limitedโข protections afforded to Palestinians under โthe current framework.
Following theโข ceasefire’s initial implementation, โthe promised delivery of humanitarian aid has fallen drastically โฃshort of commitments. While the โagreement stipulated 600 trucks carrying โฃaid per day, only 89 have entered Gaza sence the truce began. Over 25 kilometers of aid convoys remain stalled at the Rafah crossing, controlled by Israel and Egypt.
On โTuesday, the โNetanyahu government issuedโ a statement confirming โคit โwould resume bombing Gaza, a moveโฃ that was already underway. The subsequent attacksโ resulted inโ the deaths of over โ90โฃ palestinians,โ including 24 children, โขaccording toโ reports. โค Hamas has โbeen accusedโข of deliveringโฃ incorrect bodies, whileโ the Israeli army has โคtargetedโ camps and tents housing displaced people.
For Palestinians,โ the cessation of โattacks and deaths was the soleโค benefit of the agreement. That โคbenefit is now โdemonstrably lost, raisingโ serious concerns aboutโค theโ future of the truce and the safety of civilians โคin Gaza.
