Authorities Investigate Multiple Disappearances in โValle delโค Cauca Department
Cali,Colombia – Authorities in โthe Valle delโ Cauca department are intensifying investigations โขinto a series of disappearances,includingโ the case of Esperanzaโข Muรฑoz,who has been missing โas July 30th. The investigations were discussed at a recent security summit, highlighting growing concerns over potential kidnappings and missing persons โin โthe region.
Muรฑoz was last seen โคon July 30th after agreeing to show a farm to two men interested โin renting theโ property. She has not been heard from as, โคand authorities are working to identify the men and the vehicle they were traveling in. โ The case is being jointly investigated by the Police Sijin (investigative unit) and the Prosecutor’s Office.
“It is analyzed what situations have happened.โฃ There, an outstanding team has already been formed between investigators โof โthe Police Sijin and the Prosecutor’sโฃ Officeโค sectionโค that will take the case and advance the relevant investigations to establish what happened with the lady as he approached the vehicle seen in the videos,” stated Guillermo Londoรฑo, Secretary of Coexistence and Citizen Security of the Valle del Cauca department.

Along with Muรฑoz’s disappearance, the Security Council is also investigatingโข the cases of two young โpeople reported missing on July 30th in Restrepo, a municipality within the Valle del Cauca department. Details regarding the โidentities of these individuals have not yet โขbeen released.
