The victim, ADP, was discovered deceased in his Menteng, Central Jakarta boarding room on the morning of Tuesday, August 7, 2025. His body was found with his face covered in duct tape.
law enforcement initiated an investigation, which included interviewing witnesses, reviewing CCTV footage from the boarding house and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office, and examining ADP’s communication records.
During the course of the investigation, several items were discovered or identified as relevant to ADP’s death. These include backpacks and shopping bags found on the stairs near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs rooftop.
The bags contained items such as laptops, recently purchased clothing, medications, various office supplies, and the victim’s outpatient medical records from a Jakarta public hospital.Authorities also recovered the plastic sheeting and yellow duct tape that had been used to cover the victim’s face.
