Carsonโค High to Enshrine Eightโ New Members, Three Teamsโ intoโ Basketball hall ofโข Fame
CARSON โCITY,โ Nev. – Carsonโข High School willโฃ expand its basketball Hall of Fame wiht the induction of โeight โindividual players โand three championship teams โฃduring a ceremony this fall. the additions โคrecognize outstandingโ contributions to the storied history ofโ the program, spanning multiple decades of athletic achievement.
The Hall of Fame class includes Jamie Glon,Lynda Upton (class of 1997),and Pam Williams (Class ofโ 2000),alongside five other former players. Additionally, the 1978, 1983, and 1996 teams will be honored for their โchampionship โseasons. The inductions celebrateโ the enduring legacy of Carson โฃHigh basketballโ and provide a link betweenโ past successesโข and the program’s โfuture.
Lynda Upton lettered โall โฃfour years from โ1993-1997, contributing โto three Northern Nevada AAA Division II โChampionships, including a 1996 Nevada AAA State Championship โrunner-up finish. She concluded her career with โข1,378 points and ranksโข among theโค program’s all-time leaders in assists and โขsteals.Upton was a Northern โคNevada AAA โAll-Leagueโข first โTeam selection in her sophomore, junior, and senior years, earning โNevada AAA All-State Honors each of those years as well.
Pam Williams lettered fromโข 1997-2000, serving as team โฃMVP three times. She isโฃ the second โขall-time โleading โขrebounder in โคCarson โคHighโ history with 994 rebounds โand fifth in โฃscoring with 1,275 points. Williams’โข teams consistently reached the AAAA State Tournament, advancingโ to โฃthe semifinals โthree times. She earned Northernโค Nevadaโค 4Aโ Conference and nevada State 4A honors as aโ sophomore and junior, and was named co-Player of the Year in the Northern Nevada 4A, First Team โค4A All-Conference, First Team 4A All-State, โNIAA Top 10โ Student Athlete of the year, and earned NIAA All-State Academic team honors all four โฃyears.
