MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Children in Marquette gained aโ captivating glimpse into the animal kingdom Saturday,learning about the progress of creaturesโค before birth at the peter White public Library.
Author Carrie Pearsonโ launched her new book, Watch Them Grow, at the library, sharingโค insights into โคthe gestation process of various animals. The book,geared towards children ages 9 toโค 12,details the formation ofโข key features in โค12 different species.
“I wanted to just be able toโ share what’sโข going โคon in there,” Pearson explained. “the book looks at 12 different animals, and weโ get to learn how wingsโค are formedโ in a bat, and whiskers in a mouse, how shark teeth areโค formed before they’re born.”
Pearson noted that the internal developmentโ of animals is frequently enough unseen and under-discussed. Watch them Grow aims to fill that knowledge โgap, even educating the author herself during the writing process.
