Baruch Entertainers to Host community Carnival for Localโ Children
Cape Town‘s beloved Minstrel troupe,โข The Baruch Entertainers, will host a three-day Baruch Community Carnival from December 4th to 6th, 2025, at โฃthe Elsies River Rugby Club. Theโ event aims to celebrate localโฃ culture,uplift entrepreneurs,and raise funds for children in need.
Led by Chairman Claudeโ Jonas,The Baruch Entertainers are well-known for their dedication to preserving and evolving Cape Town’s vibrant Minstrel traditions. this carnival โฃrepresents an extension of their commitment to the community.
“This Carnival is about community,”โค says Wendyโข Rhode, Executive Director for the Baruchโข communityโ Carnival. “It’s about creating opportunitiesโข for smallโ businesses while celebrating our culture and giving back. Weโ want vendors from all overโ Cape Town to come showcase their talent โand be part of something meaningful.”
Proceeds from the โcarnival willโ directly benefit local children, providing essential school uniforms and supplies for families facing financial hardship.
The carnival will feature a diverse rangeโค of vendors, including food and drink sellers, craftโ makers, clothingโค designers, small business โowners,โค andโ community organisations.โข Entertainment will include live performances from local artists such asโ waseef Piekaan, Allan The Car โฃGuard, The OGs dance group,โ and other community talent.
Attendees can also enjoy funfair inflatables, family activities, and a Saturdayโ car show featuring local car clubs andโ enthusiasts. Safe, paid parking will beโฃ available insideโ the venue.
The carnival will run โขfrom 4pm โto 11pm on Thursday andโข Friday,โข and from 9amโ to 11pmโฃ on Saturday. Entry fees are R30 forโ adults, R20โฃ for children,โฃ and R20 for inflatables and parking.
