BYD‘s Fast-Selling Ti7 SUV Eyes Indonesian Market Following thailand Debut
Bangkok, thailand – BYD’s robust plug-in hybrid SUV, the Ti7, is signaling potential expansion into the Indonesian automotive market after a recent showing at the Bangkok Motor Expo 2025, held November 30 – December 10. The vehicle, marketed as the Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 in China, achieved a rapid 50,000 unit sales milestone in just 80 days.
The Ti7 was presented in Thailand under the BYD brand name. The display unit featured left-hand steering, indicating it was a pre-production model for the region. This move suggests BYD is actively considering a broader rollout of the Ti7 beyond its domestic market, potentially as early as next year.
The BYD Ti7 boasts a boxy design with pronounced wheel arches, matrix LED headlights, and a floating roof design complemented by roof rails. It retains conventional door handles and is equipped with 20-inch black alloy wheels and a LiDAR sensor. Dimensions are 4,999 mm in length,1,995 mm in width,and 1,865 mm in height.
The showcased top trim model features a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive system combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine producing 115 kW (154 hp) with two electric motors delivering 360 kW (483 hp).Powering the electric motors is a 35.6 kWh LFP battery, offering a CLTC-rated range of 190 km.
BYD claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds and incorporates a torque vectoring system. A formal global launch date for the BYD Ti7 remains unconfirmed.
