UNIQA‘s โฃ”Growing Impact” Strategy Surpasses Expectations, CEE regionโฃ Drives Growth
UNIQA Insurance group AGโ reportsโ its “Growing Impact”โ strategy is exceeding expectations, fueled by strong performance in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The โcompany currently holds a meaningful market share in Austria, with four out of ten private health insurance customers choosing UNIQA.
Renรฉ โขKnapp, Board member โresponsible for asset Management, Personal โขLines, people & Brand, highlighted UNIQA’s comprehensive healthcare ecosystem, extending beyond traditional insurance โฃto include its own medical infrastructure. โHe affirmed continued investment in expanding this area.this strategy is notably evident in โthe growth of UNIQA’s second brand, โMavie, which โis โคnow availableโ in eight CEE countries and offered in 19 languages.
The CEE region isโ demonstrating robust growth, expanding โat roughly twice the rate of the Eurozone. The Vienna Institute โfor International Economic Studies forecasts real GDP growth of 2.2 percent for EU โคmember states in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe โขin 2025, rising to 2.6 โฃpercent in 2026, compared to 0.9 and 1.4 percentโ respectivelyโ for the Eurozone. Weโ are now among the top 5 in the world’s fastest-growing insurance region and have beenโ growing substantially faster than the โmarket for years.” UNIQA aims toโ not โคonlyโ maintain this momentum but accelerate it through 2028, prioritizing โprofitability, scaling, and regional diversification. The company targets at least 8 percent annualโข premium growth in the CEE region by 2028 – exceeding โthe group โaverage.
