Candice Bergen made a rare public appearance in Idaho to rub elbows with extremely influential figures.
The โSex and the Cityโ alum, 79, was photographed at the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference on Wednesday. Bergen was snapped riding in a golf cart to attend theย annual media finance conference, which is dubbed โsummer camp for billionairesโ due to its ultra-elite, invite-only guest list.
Bergen look relaxed as she sat back in the golf cart with her legs up. She dressed casually in jeans and a blue zip-up jacket, and although she wore black sunglasses, her signature blonde locks made her recognizable.
The Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference is funded by private investment firm Allen & Company and has been attended by the biggest titans in media, tech and politics since 1983.
Attendees this year include newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sรกnchez, who were photographed arriving holding hands. More VIP guests include Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook and Gayle King.
The three-day networking event is held at luxury ski resort Sun Valley Lodge. Because of its casual nature โ recreational activities like hiking and golf are available and attendees are allowed to bring their families.
The high-profile attendees are said to be mulling the influence and emergence of artificial intelligence during the exclusive weekend getaway.
Bergen, a five-time Emmy winner due to her iconic โMurphy Brownโ series, has attended the event multiple times, including in 2024.
Her invite isnโt too surprising given that she comes from a prominent family deeply rooted in the entertainment and arts.
Her late father is Edward Bergen, a famous ventriloquist and comedian, and her late mother is Frances Bergen, a model and actress. Her younger brother, Kris Bergen, works as a film and television editor.
The actress was last seen on screen reprising her โSex and the Cityโ character Enid Frick on Season 2 of the iconic seriesโ reboot, โAnd Just Like That.โ
In January, Bergen mourned the death of her husband, Marshall Rose, who died from complications with Parkinsonโs disease.
The real estate developer was 88 years old.
Bergen was previously married to French film director Louis Malle, from 1980-1995. They share one child together, daughter Chloe Malle.
