Berlin, NJ – A school bus caught fire on Tuesday afternoon inโฃ Berlin, New Jersey, but no injuries were reported thanks to the quick actions of both passersby and first responders. The incident occurred on a privatelyโ owned bus, not affiliated with a berlin school โdistrict,โค according to authorities.
Passersby wereโข already assisting two adults and a child โfrom the bus when officers arrived to ensure the โvehicleโฃ was empty, stated Lt. Joshua Smith of the โฃBerlin Police Department. The bus experienced a notable fluid leak, prompting a response from the Camden โCounty Highway Department, which dispatched a sand truck to contain the spill.
The Berlin Police Department acknowledged the collaborative effort in a Facebook post, thanking fellow first โคresponders and the “Good Samaritans” whose swift intervention prevented any โคinjuries. Members โof the Berlin and West Berlin fire โdepartments,along with Berlin Emergency medical โServices staff,also responded to theโค scene.
