Austin, TX – Indie rock stalwarts Spoon have gifted fans with a double A-side single, “Chateau Blues” and ”Guess I’m fallin in Love,” just one day before kicking off their fall tour with legendary band Pixies. The tracks, available now, offer a tantalizing preview of the band’s forthcoming album – the follow-up to their 2022 Grammy-nominated Lucifer on the Sofa.
The surprise release reflects a shift in the band’s usual process, according to frontman Britt Daniel. “We started work on an album this year and the way that normally goes…we write,we rehearse,we record,” Daniel explained.”But as we finished up the first two songs for the LP, it crossed somebody’s mind…that these two really should come out now.”
