Man Arrested for Allegedly Using Stolen Credit Card at Brentwood Police Department
BRENTWOOD, Calif. – โขA 36-year-oldโค man was arrested Friday after allegedly attempting โto pay towing fees with a stolen credit card โat โคthe Brentwood Police Department, authorities said. The incident unfolded around 11:30 a.m. in the department’s lobby,leading to the suspect’s immediate arrest and the discovery of additional contraband.
The suspect, identifiedโข asโ Lew, allegedly presented a credit card that did not belong to him while attempting to settle towing costs. Police were alertedโค and quickly apprehended him. A subsequent search revealed he was โalso in possession of drugs and burglary tools, according to the Brentwood Police Department.
Lew was booked into the Martinez โฃDetention Facility, and โขis now being held at the West Countyโค Detention Facility in Richmond on $20,000 โคbail.
