Pudupalli
Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan accused LDF candidate Jake C Thomas as fourth type leader. Satheesan’s remark was that there is no dialogue with the fourth class leaders. Jake had said that he is ready to interact with anyone about the development in Puthupally constituency. Satheesan’s controversial remark came when journalists asked about this. What UDF has done has been brought up as a notice. Satheesan said that the left party should not decide the agenda of the election.

CPIM central committee member Dr. Satheesan’s controversial remarks. TM Thomas Isaac and Minister VN Vasavan came forward. If you are afraid of discussion, be open. Isaac wrote on Facebook that he should not think that he can be met with criticism and ridicule. VN Vasavan also responded that the Congress leadership has reached the predicament of replying that the development discussion is fourth-rate politics.

Washington
Former US President Donald Trump and 18 others have been indicted on charges of attempting to tamper with the results of the 2020 Georgia election. This is the fourth case against Trump this year. The 98-page indictment alleges that Trump tried to influence and bribe officials to subvert the election results. A Fulton County jury indicted the defendants on 41 counts.

Nineteen accused were given 25 days to surrender. It was also decided to conduct the trial of all together. Rudolph Giuliani, Trump’s former lawyer and former mayor of New York, and Mark Meadows, who was the White House chief of staff, are the main co-defendants. Trump responded that the indictment was politically motivated.

New York
49,500 people took their own lives in the US last year. The suicide rate in the country has increased from 2000 to 2018. But in 2021, the suicide rate will increase by four percent. Most of those who take their own lives are elderly. Experts observe that the increasing incidence of depression and lack of availability of mental health services may be the reason.

A senior researcher at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention said that the majority of suicides involve firearms.

Taliban Burns Musical Instruments in Afghanistan, Blaming Music for ‘Moral Degradation’

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com July 31, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Kabul> Taliban burn musical instruments in Afghanistan. The violence was blamed on music causing “moral degradation”. Thousands of instruments, including guitars, harmoniums and tablas, were set on fire in the western province of Herat on Saturday.

Since taking power in 2021, the Taliban has imposed a number of restrictions, including banning music in public places. Drums, amplifiers, speakers etc. were seized from wedding venues in the city. Many musicians left Afghanistan after the Taliban regained power. Last week, the Taliban shut down beauty salons across the country.
