Venezuelan Striker Eric Ramรญrez Joins Bohemians 1905 in Prague
Venezuelan forward Ericโ Ramรญrez, previouslyโ known to Slovakโฃ football fans from his stints with Slovan Bratislava, Senica, and Dunajskรกโค Streda, has signed with Czech First League clubโ Bohemians 1905.
Ramรญrez first played in Slovakia during the 2018/2019 โseason with FK Senica, โarriving on loan from Czech side MFK Karvinรก. He then moved to โขDunajskรก streda in the summer of 2019, where he played for two years before transferring toโฃ Ukrainian โขclub Dynamo Kyiv for aโ reported fee of nearly two million euros.
The striker joined Slovan Bratislava in January 2022, notably scoring โa โฃcrucial goal in extra time against โคHล K Zrinjski Mostar in a Conference league playoff match, helping his team advance โฃon penalties. Though, his time in Bratislava ended prematurely after the 2022/2023 โคseason. Slovan terminated his contractโ and sent himโค back โto Dynamo Kyiv after he failed to โขreturn from a holiday in South Americaโค and missed winterโค preparations, leading coach Vladimir Weiss to exclude โคhim from the team.
Ramรญrez โsubsequently faced a ban from FIFA in December 2024 due to a contract dispute with Slovan Bratislava, preventing him from playing until he settledโ his debt to โthe club – a situation resolved two months laterโฃ while he was playing for Argentine club Tigre.
Bohemians 1905 โdirector Darek Jakubowiczโ stated,“Eric is at the best football age. He already has experience with the Czech Republic, so acclimatization should not be a big problem for him.”
