Thisโฃ latest find followsโ a 2022 incident where โค81,000 detonators and ammonium nitrateโฃ where confiscated in the same area, โคprompting a National Inquiry Agency โข(NIA) investigation. Authoritiesโข suspect a connection between the incidents and illicitโค operations, potentially involving the illegal mining of stone and coal. Aโข state intelligence department โofficer, speaking on condition of anonymity, indicatedโข thatโฃ explosives are frequently enough sourced illegally โfrom miners in neighboring Jharkhand.
The seized gelatine sticks wereโ intended โfor use in blasting operations, typically employed in mining and construction.
