Hendriks’ departure comes after Mooi Wark performed without him at the Zwarte Cross and C’est la Vie festival in Emmen over the weekend.Hendriks himself expressed regret over the decision on his Facebook page, hinting at prior internal band disagreements.He stated he held a “strong but well-founded opinion about certain things within the band prior to last weekend.”
Geert Kruit, who has previously filled in for Hendriks, will now take over the drumming duties permanently. Mooi Wark extended well wishes to Hendriks for his future musical endeavors and thanked him for his contributions. Hendriks has a history with the band, having played with them approximately twenty years ago before being replaced by John Roffel. Following Roffel’s passing in 2017, Hendriks rejoined Mooi Wark.
