Salahuddin resigns as Bangladesh National Cricket Team’s Senior Assistantโข Coach
DHAKA,Nov 5,2025 (BSS) – Mohammed Salahuddin has resigned from his position as Senior Assistant โฃCoach of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team (Men’s),the Bangladeshโ Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed today. Heโ will concludeโ his duties following the upcoming Test and โฃT20I series against Ireland.
The departure of Salahuddin, appointed to the role in November โ2024, marks a shift in the โขnational team’s coaching setup as Bangladesh prepares for future competitions. BCB cricket Operations Committee Chairman Nazmul Abedeen Fahim โstated the board will discussโค the resignation internally before releasing further comment. “He (Salahuddin) has expressed his desire to step down after the seriesโ against Ireland. We will discuss the matter internally before makingโค any further comment,”โ Fahim said.
Prior to his recent appointment, โฃSalahuddin served โthe Bangladesh National Team as both assistant Coach and โFielding Coach fromโข 2006 to โ2010. He also contributed his expertise as a Specialist coach at the BCB National Cricket Academy from โฃ2010 to 2011, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to developing Bangladeshi cricket talent.
The timing of salahuddin’s resignation comes ahead of crucial matchesโข against Ireland, โprompting speculation about potential changes withinโฃ the coaching staffโข and thierโค impact on team performance. The BCB has yet to announce any plans for a replacement.
